Privacy policy
The data controller is the Zumbo service (zumbo.ai). This policy describes which personal and technical data we process when providing uniqualization and AI upscale services, why, how long we keep it and how to delete it. We describe here what we actually do.
1. What data we collect
- Email address. This is the account login; support replies are sent to it as well.
- Password — stored only as an irreversible hash; we do not see the password itself and cannot recover it.
- Payment records — the date, the plan or pack, the amount and the payment identifier in the payment service. Bank card details never reach us: they are handled by the payment service.
- Uploaded files and processing results. Kept for 24 hours, then deleted automatically (see section 4).
- Usage counters — how many uniqualizations, video minutes and photos have been used. They are needed for the plan and the quotas to work.
- Web server technical records — the IP address, the time, the requested address and browser details. They are needed to protect the service and to investigate faults.
- Session cookie — a single service cookie that keeps you signed in to the dashboard (30 days). There are no advertising or third-party cookies.
- The text of a support request, if you send one.
2. What data we do NOT collect
We do not view the content of your files. Processing is fully automatic; staff do not open users’ files, except where you yourself ask us to look into a problem with a particular file.
We do not track your activity outside the service. Only the data listed in section 1 is collected.
Nothing for advertising. The site has no advertising counters, third-party analytics or trackers; data is not shared with or sold to advertising networks. The only external resource the pages load is fonts from the Google Fonts servers: in doing so your browser contacts Google and passes it your IP address.
3. Purposes of processing
Data is processed only in order to: create an account and sign in to it; carry out the processing of files; keep track of payments, quotas and balances; answer requests; protect the service from abuse; monitor operability and fix faults.
4. Retention period
- Uploaded files and processing results — 24 hours from the moment of processing, then deleted automatically.
- Web server technical records (they contain the IP address) — 14 days.
- The email address, subscription and payment records, usage counters and support requests — for as long as the account exists. After the account is deleted, payment records may be retained to the extent necessary for settlements with the payment service.
5. Sharing with third parties
We share the minimum necessary with three processors:
- the payment service — the data needed to carry out the payment;
- an external video processing service — during an AI upscale the video file is passed for processing via a temporary link (valid for 30 minutes) and after processing is kept by us for no longer than 24 hours; photos are processed on our own servers;
- Google Fonts — only the request for fonts made by your browser (see section 2).
Each of them processes data under its own rules. We do not share data with anyone else, except where required by applicable law.
6. Your rights and deletion of data
You have the right to request: what data about you is stored; correction of inaccurate data; deletion of the account and the data. Write to us by email at support@zumbo.ai from the address the account is registered to. Deleting the account terminates access to the service and is not a ground for a refund.
7. Contact for requests
Requests concerning this policy are accepted by email at support@zumbo.ai. We reply within 30 days of the request.
In the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the Russian version, the Russian version prevails.
